what cc

AN over bore doesnt add any cc, and if it does it isnt even 1 cc. a stroker crank + 3mm adds 4cc and that is moving the piston another 3mm in the cylinder. over bore is just so you can up to the next piston size because the ring and cylinder mating surface isnt any good.usually over bore is twenty thousandths over which isnt even considered a performance upgrade.

by boring for a fresh piston and to get rid of scoring and sh*t, you are increasing the volume of the cylinder. not by much, but it is geting bigger. your still right about not a performance upgrade and sh*t but it does increase volume.

"yes...Why you asking...it really dont make much of a difference"

i was just wondering how much more cc .040 over would make it. every little bit adds up. and yes there is no reason to bore as much as you can, just as much as you need.

thanks for the replys

accually, the +3mm stroker crank adds more then 4cc's. I've got a 240 bb which is accually 232cc with a +3mm crank and it makes it a 244.1cc motor.

just look up the equation for the volume of a cylinder.

area of base times the height. so, pi (3.14) times the radius, (half of your bore) squared (times itself)= area of base. then, whatever your stroke is, you multiply that by your area of the base. then you're done.

Good site wrenchman.... so a .040 over bore is 195.32 cc instead of the 198.08 stock cylinder. not much to write home about.66mm bore with stroker is 205 ccs and 72mm bore + 3mm stroke(60mm) is 244.39cc.

You would have to bore it a couple mm's for any real gain or get a big bore sleeve like whats in the Vito's kit.
