what can i use for cylinder head washers??????

hi im new here and ive recently purchased a 98 blaster needing a new top end. ive already purchased a wiseco pro piston and gasket kit but i need the top end washers. my question is can i use brass washers? i just purchased 6 but after some thinkin i wasnt sure it its a good idea or not. somebody please help. i wanna get this thing going and ride

I would use steel washers. Brass is on the soft side and may let the nuts loosen up.

see i ran around all day looking and i was going to do that but i thought the original was copper or something so i grabbed the brass ones. does anyone know what the original wahser are made of? i alsoe am using 8x 1.25 reg nuts with a litttle lip on it will that work

i've seen copper/brass ones on one of my topends, you can also use flange nuts with the washer built in, the ones that came in my snyder motorsports allen head bolt kit were flange washers with the grooves on the under side to help grab and keep from coming loose

8x1.25 flange nuts will work great or get 8x1.25 steel washers and use the nuts you have.

awk08. those are the same nuts i bought so i can use those with no washer. or do u guys rec. using washers also. i apreciate all the feedback i can tell this is gonna be my one stop spot. lol
