Heres the hydro brakes i have. came on my blaster not sure what they are. when i first got it had the guy put pads in it he said he just put stock pads. it looks like a factory caliper. Its all bolted on and the brake line is f'in huge like 2 feet long. heres a sh*tty vid can get a better if need be. I need help fixing had 2 diff mechanics look at them and they cleaned the caliper with new pads but both times froze up a coulple rides later. The peddle goes in but the plunger acts like it doesnt work.

That has to be about the worst video quality I've seen in a long time...LOL

As to the brakes, it looks like something custom... the master cylinder is a nissin (same thing like every Japanese sport quad and sport bike use) but the master cylinder bracket looks homemade.

If that's a nissin caliper, it's leaned the wrong way. Most are designed to have the bleeder screw at the top when the caliper is behind the axle not in front.

The caliper bolts the the stock bracket. The bleeder lookes like its off to the side and 2 good mechanics used stock pads? looks like a stock caliper also from what ive seen. heres a pic and i posted a diff vid.

if you say that if you push the pedal in but it doesnt brake then they need bled, as far as them freezing up wrap them up tight to keep them warm, haha, jk but take it apart and clean the piston in there. then youll have to bleed them for sure.

well they worked fine for a few rides then just locked up and let it sit and they came on frozen ever since then i used them and they stuck so i just used fronts now they just dont work at all

heres my answer to your PM....................

i have no clue what that caliper is, and as civic stated it looks to be on backwards ???
possibly a stock 03+ caliper ???? on wrong ???
as for how i put the swirls in my brackets .... i use a straight wire brush and just half overlap the round swirl marks it leaves when just touched down onto the aluminum for a few seconds, it looks ok, covers any scratches i make while jig sawing the pattern out, and sure beats the hell outta trying to sand and polish it
but i doubt you can do that if the master bracket you have is made out of steel ????

if you wanna snag a 04/05 gold, or 05/06 black, gsxr caliper from ebay i can hook you up with one of my brackets, i also have an 01-03 caliper that i usually don't use for my kits, that has good pads in it, i have a different pattern bracket for it
PM me if you wanna go that route and we'll talk $
