I just got my blaster all done and finally took it out last weekend.
Everything was fine until I stopped to pull the plug and check it over and noticed that the IDLE set screw was missing from the side of the carb.Luckily i had a vacuum cap and plugged it and adjusted the throttle cable to get it to idle.
The thing runs good and showed no signs of damage other than a low idle speed. After getting it home i pulled the plug and using a mirror and flash light looked into the cylinder and other than running rich it looked normal.
I ordered a new idle set screw but my question is what if any damage do you think I may have done? The plug looked great and showed no signs of leaning out and neither did the top of the piston.
