Washing?

It's been about....a month since I last washed the blaster, and it shows, badly. I'm wary about washing it because last time I did, it bogged out really bad. Can I spray the engine just to get the grime off without it bogging, or should I avoid the engine all together? How can I wash to avoid bogging?

if it bogs when you wash it, something is wrong.
you should be able to wash it without that happening.
just dont get water in your exhaust pipe or in the filter and you should be good.

exactly, there is no reason that washing should cause problems

luckily for me, i still have the stock pipe on and it curves down so.

A five dollar wash plug helps when that is no longer true.

I also like to put a bag over my filter when I wash it. Or if you have a clamp-on (like i do now) put a zip-lock bag over it.

Sounds like you have other issues. I hit mine with a pressure washer every few rides and don't have much problems, I do have a electrical issue somewhere that is causeing me some troubles, but it should run just fine after washing.
