Warrior and blaster owners!!! I need help!!!!

TRADE OR NOT TO TRADE!!!!!?????!!!!! Well I have a 2005 blaster 200. It's in pretty decent shape has an FMF full exhaust and new front tires and Banshee rear wheels. New carrier bearing. Fresh rebuild. I have a kid who wants to trade me a Yamaha Warrior 350 bored to 400. The only thing is it was a restoration project and it was in the process of being reassembled when he decided he didn't have the time to put it together anymore. It is about 20% assembled has the exhaust axle suspension and bottom end in the frame. But everything else is still completely tore down. The quad has all brand new parts put into it. Completely rebuilt transmission completely rebuilt bottom end completely rebuild top end fresh powder coat frame brand new HMF exhaust. Brand new Tusk clutch kit all new top and bottom end tusk oil seals and gaskets all new gears from 1st to 6th including reverse. But this is the problem take a look at the pics

Sorry!! It's an hmf pipe! On it not dg. That's what I been hearing. ALOT of people gave up warriors for blasters...

I've taken on a basket case in the past similar to this. Was torn apart and guy said he didn't have time to put it back together. Everything was neatly packed and sorted for reassembly. Nothing is ever that simple. It was missing pieces, some where in terrible shape, etc. I ended up spending a lot of money to get it back together the right way. Very little profit in the long run. Not worth my time. I won't ever buy anything torn apart again. There is usually a reason, they don't just randomly decide they don't have time for it. They most likely started putting it together and they found they screwed up or were in over their head. Just my 2 cents

And that's a very good point. That's my fear. According to him he tore it down because he wanted to restore it. And now simply does not have the time to put it back together. I don't know from what I'm reading and what I'm hearing from people about Warriors vs blasters I just don't think I'm going to do it. A lot of people telling me that I am going to lose a lot of power and that the warrior is more of a beginner quad. No matter how much work has been done to it.

First thing wrong is yours runs, his don't.
Next, in equal shape (running, looks, etc.) Warriors aren't worth that much more.
Next, is you need receipts for this " big bore " , plus that jug is way to smooth to be New
And receipts for all these gears.

Having recently done a new crank bore valve job on a Warrior, it's really tough getting the head off in frame, would hate to install in frame.

IMHO, I wouldn't give $500 the wày it sits.

Actually this /\ /\ says it all. Could be a two year old 450 and could have these samè issues.
