Want to save $200 on a clutch basket

i ment the by the gear and the metal plate

Even if you weld the gear to the metal plate it still isn't going to help.The rivets would still be loose on the basket side.

I do sub work for a local dealership from time to time. I picked this up the other day. The customer told me the engine was seized. Has a brand new Vitos 240 cylinder and stuffer crankshaft. They also told me the clutch didn’t work. This is what we found when we took it apart. The cases, crank and cylinder are fine.

Well I reckon the clutch didn't work..... What did they do to it?

Pretty sure the basket on the drive gear failed and took the rest with it.
