Okay guys i have had wally world lights on my blasty for awhile now. they have worked fine until the other night. i rode a lil then i pressure washed it and cleaned it real good. i went to put it away and i turned on the lights and only one came on. so i revved it a lil into the midrange and i got the second one to come on then when i ran it and got it into the top end it shut off again. it did this a few times now if i look into the light when i rev it all i can see is a microscopic little blue spark and every once and awhile it will flash on then off. it this just a problem with the bulb? i went through and checked and taped all my wiring and its fine and the thing that confuses me is that one works and the other doesn't. i think i'm gonna put the 50w bulb that came with them in just to see if it will light and if it does then i will buy a new 20w. but till then any other ideas guys? anyone else have the same problem?

you keep pressure washin that thing your gonna have bigger troubles than them lights, i'm geussin you blew water into one of the connections, and electrical tape isnt gonna stop all that pressure, neither will your bearing seals

pull the lights apart and tape off the connections and let 'em dry for a day or so

i went through and dried out and retaped all the connections. and no connections only affect the one light. that is what is confusing me only 1 of them isn't working. and the pressure washing is only to get the mud off of the plastics and tires. i don't get anywhere close to bearing seals because i know it will destroy them. it is mainly to blast the heavy mud off

thats kinda what i was thinking. i'm gonna look at the bulb and the socket the bulb goes into cause i know it can't be anything else just cause the other light works. i think it was just the light. i think i'm gonna start putting a bag over the lights when i wash it if i get them working

i don't pressure wash any more unless i ahve to, cause the water sprays up into the airbox and everywhere i don't want it, adn it takes the stickers clean off, just use a hose and a nozzle, it works

i use a mild nozzle on the pressure washer. it really doesn't have a ton more pressure than a good nozzle on a hose. unless i put it like an inch away it doesn't take stickers off and i still have a airbox lid and i stuff the snorkel with a bag so i don't get water in there. i never directly spray the chain or any spot where i could blow water into a greased bushing or bearing

Since your problem occured along with the washing, I would have to agree that is your current problem.

Sooner or later though you are going to have problems with the fact that you are trying to run 2-50w bulbs off a 55w lighting coil.

it is the cheap lights, the seal around them are not good.
and pressure washing a quad isn't going to f*ck up a seal unless you hold it on there.
just make sure you regrease everything after you wash it.

i'm not trying to run 2 50w bulbs. i just have them from when i bought them. i'm running 2 20w's

i fixed them. it was just the bulbs they don't hold out water. one was fogged and the other doesn't work. gonna get 2 new ones and make sure to put bags over them when washing. also i put a 50w in to c if it would work and the 20w and 50w seemed to b the same brightness??? idk i guess it is still only getting 20w. i don't like trying to overdraw the stator though so imma still get 2 new 20w's possibly 3 so i have a spare
