Hey guys, Im getting my blaster ported and bored, but then online i saw these 240 big bore up kits!
Can someone please tell me if i just wasted my money on porting and boring the standard engine???
And are the 240 big bore kits (vitos, la sleeve...) better than porting and boring the current engine???
Thanks

vitos in genereal is not very respected on this site, flaws have occured.

also to clear this up, boring your cylinder does nothing for power, and is only needed if u have scoring or other damage. a ported stock cylinder with a redesigned head with produce power. If you have a nice fresh bottom end i would get the bbk for room to grow, LA sleeve seems to be the best. if your bottom end isnt fresh, porting is a viable method, for when u need a new bottom end u could put a stroker crank in it, but the cylinder would need to be ported again, so bottom line, its all in what u are wanting out of it

Dont go with vitos BB kit over porting. A ported motor done right will walk over a stock vito BB. I agree with whitty, send it to occonner raceing or flotek and let them make it haul ass. If you have the money then port a BB kit.

i am selling one right now, but have a guy interested right now, u will be next if u want, but go here, he is a member on the site and a great builder, just send yours to him

Ken OConnor Racing, High Performance Motocross Engines, Performance Modifications, Motorcycle valve jobs, Motorcycle Crankshaft Rebuilds, Motocross Cylinder Porting, Motocross Cylinder Head Porting go to the blaster page and them engine mods
Ok how much are you selling your redesigned head?
And changing the head has nothing to do with the porting and cylinder etc... correct?
Thanks

Huh, thats odd, where I'm from cc's is the Bee's Knee's or more affectionately said:
"THERES NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT"
its true
But you know what would work better, if you had the big bore kit with a slightly massaged (milled) head.

Gridlock; read carefully what he said. A ported factory cylinder will walk all over a standard vito's BBK. In order:

factory cylinder
vito's BBK
factory cylinder ported
ported vito's BBK
La sleeve/CT racing BBK
Hand worked la sleeve/CT racing BBK

and peppered in there somewhere around the LA sleeve/CT racing kit is the airsal kits from project blaster.

Oh, and my passionate reply for the quote "there is no replacement for displacement". Yes there is, the 13's: 13,000 RPM redline, 13 pounds of boost, or 13:1 CR pistons. :-)

who is doing the porting? a good ported stock cylinder will waste a stock vito bigbore. as stated above.

out to lunch ???? i think they are a product of our bad economy and got laid off, cause you have to produce some quality before you can control it !!!!!!!!!!
