Vitos boost bottles looks? Or gains

i heard from people on here as well as Everything2stroke members say its a waste. only thing i get iffy on is the reed spacers, i heard it change bottom end by the way you install it. not to be off topic.

I don't think reed spacers give you any real power that you can feel. There mostly to help larger carbs clear the clutch are when it comes to Blasters.

yea thanks demon i heard those before. they say if either one help gain its hardly noticable. better gains come from sprocket size than those two.

boost bottles are great !!!!!
if you find the right size cork, they hold about a pint of rum

and reed spacers do not offer any power gains,
but can be effective at moving the power band/torque to a lower rpm, if used between the reeds and cylinder,
and higher rpm if used between the reeds and intake

Put one on my banshee and the only thing i noticed was a little more response on the bottom end.

Nothing to write home about but it did improve my bottom end.

Be careful jumping on the "BAND WAGON" most people havent even tried it but respond with "WHAT THEY HEARD FROM JOE BLOW".If youre maxed out on mods and have nothing else to do mods wise i say go for it.Its like i said nothing to write home about but it will improve some bottom end.

i believe they do some good on banshee's, as there already is a balancer tube between the 2 intakes
throw one on your blaster and feel the burn of just wasting $$$$
there has not been one person, that i've ever seen, claim it did jack squat on a blaster,
that bandwagon of joe blows is quite long

The only bikes that i would run a boost bottles on is one of the old bikes that came from the factory with a boost bottles on it..

That i cant argue with!

I cant say if it will in fact do anything on a blaster. To be honest the gains on my shee werent impressive enough to have paid for the bottle so i cant see it being impressive on a blaster but whether or not it does "ANYTHING" id say it would be about like the banshees gains maybe even less who knowes.

I will say that if you have any other mods in line ahead of this id do them first and save this for very last.

And as said some of the older bikes had the factory installed so id say theres something to them but to what extent i dont know on a blaster.:-/

Banshee is the only 2s with a balance tube. Go to larger carb boots, they don't have the nipples for one. At least on a Banshee, boost bottle will tear the boots. My sons were starting to crack, so I ditched the bottle and just plugged the holes.

Doubting Thomas here, I would have to see dyno results to back up a claim. 8-|

Yuuuup. The closer you get to the bottom of the bottle, the faster it feels like your going. Lol.

JOE BLOWS dont know SH!T!! he guess's everything lmao so this isnt a good thing.
I know first hand how the bottle works on a blaster
dt200s come stock with a factory boost bottle. you cant run IT on a blaster motor cuzzz the aircooled head hangs over too far. BUT i tryed back and forth running the bottle and no bottle ( on the dt200 motor/modded blaster motor) and i completely agree with budget_blaster its not like running nos but IT DOS IMPROVE LOW RPM THROTTLE RESPONSE just like its sappost too. i think they were used on the street and trail for emission reasons.

Very good point Budget_Blaster.
"I heard" is nowhere near as useful as "I have done". Even better is "I have compared".

A boost bottle is what is called a Helmholtz resonator and it can intensify vibrations at certain frequencies like a tuned pipe does. To tune our intake tract like we do our exhaust, the pipe to the aircleaner would have to be over 3 feet long for top revs, longer for mid-range. Not practical.

Size is important as it affects the frequency, shape is not. The walls of the bottle should be rigid, a soda bottle will not work. An aluminum or steel water bottle might work well? Bigger bottles work for lower frequencies and the inlet tub size and length is important for the frequency. You can look up formulas for frequency sizing on the internet under "Helmholtz resonator".

Yamaha used them a lot in the 1980s to improve low end response. I had a couple stock bikes with them and tried them on and off the bike. I seemed to feel a difference in the low mid-range, worth leaving them on but not an extraordinary boost in low end power. I cannot vouch at all for the good of the Vitos bottle, never seen it or used it.

Actually thinking of making one up for the KTM Blaster as off idle torque is weak on this engine.
