What's goin on everyone, I finally got my blaster runnin good again after buying some new vf3 replacement reeds. Before my blaster started acting up I had my reeds fall out/slip down out of place 2 minutes into a ride. I fixed it and went riding today for a good 2 hours or so and I was going down a hill with my clutch in then let out the clutch and my blaster died. What would cause my reeds to keep slipping out of place like that ? ( strangely after 2 hours of good riding ) I feel like if I had reeds that used the little screw to secure them in place I wouldn't be having this problem, but I for one like the vf3's the most out of any other reeds. I never had this problem before my rebuild about s month ago, and now I've had nothing but problems. Any ideas would be cool, thanks guys !

you gotta be doing something wrong as 1 run vf3's in both my blasters and have never had a problem

were these brand new when it first happened, or had you installed new reeds into the cage yourself ???

They were brand new replacement reeds for the vf3's from rockymountainatvmc . . . It almost looks like the little tabs on the one side are not as big as the other ones, like they are worn down. It might have been from letting the clutch out in too low of a gear (thought I was in 3rd but I was in 2nd ) when I was going down that hill, cause my blaster died 2 seconds after I let out the clutch and I had been riding for about 2 hours prior to that.

just a thought...are there differences between the inner and outer reed petals ???

maybe order your next set straight from Moto Tassinari | SUPERIOR AIR POWER the makers of v-force reeds, and it wouldn't hurt to give them a call and see what their reasoning/solution is to this ????

No difference that I noticed, but that is definately a good thought. I saved the old ones, ill check them out in a little bit when I get home and post back. Thanks for all your help with everything bro, you got some well deserved rep coming your way. And you pursuaded me to finally buy a leakdown tester from slick, should be here any day ! Thanks for the needed push, I know the importance of having and using one I was just bein stupid and lazy.
