Because of my latest crash, and the lack of funds, I'm buying a inner tube for my tire. Will this last me through hill climbing, jumping, water, rough terrain, etc. etc. until winter when I can get new tires?

you will be fine. i have ran tubes in tires before on trails, and mx tracks and everything and have never had a problem
Make sure the crash didn't seperate the tire tread and the tube will hold up fine.
If the tire's tread started the seperate, it's time for a new tire and no amount of inner-tube will save it.

If you have a cut or un-pluggable hole you might want to put a 'boot' or large patch on inside to keep dirt from tearing up tube.
also if you have problem with thorns in your neck of the woods make sure you check for thorns. We've had tires come back in that basically weren't even put back on that we punctured by thorns that we missed that were already in the tire, but sealed good enough in the tire that it didn't leak when it was tubeless.
