Well as most of you know I have a 1997 chevy silverado pickup it's all stock motor wise but I wanna upgrade my exhaust. No for performance more for sound.

At the moment I am running true duals with some sort of flowmaster mufflers catalytic converters and large tips. It's not loud at all and I think it's the mufflers I'm not sure what series mufflers they are since they came with the truck. I like loud but want tone, glasspacks are the loudnessn i want burning hate the pop and crackling. Anyone heard of dynomax bullets? I am considering those or what would you guys recommend?

I don't wanna hear int annoy your neighbors cops with watch you etc.....

I like the flomaster 40 the best. Going on YouTube and listen to the different mufflers for you type of trick. Just put ( Chevy truck muffler)

Ya those ar nice My dad has them but on dummy duals they are loud but I want annoying loud. Later on if i ever want to go quieter I still can but for now I want loud

Im really leaning towards the Duramax Bullets there like 40$ a piece and loud as a mofo.

If you are looking for a great and cheap muffler then look at some Summit Racing brand mufflers Summit Racing - Mufflers - SummitRacing.com I dont know who makes them but they have the Summit name on them and are cheaper.. I got a Summit Racing brand holley jet kit for my bronco because it was cheaper then the Holley brand jet kit, and all Summit did was put a summit sticker on top of the Holley sticker on the jet box.. I also got a Summit fuel pressure regulator and it is a holley pressure regulator that is not polished as good...

In running Thrush welded mufflers on my bronco now, they sound good and are cheap too Thrush - Mufflers - SummitRacing.com

I have a full Magnaflow system on my wifes Durango, And then a Magnaflow system on my 2006 tundra. Very smooth sounding and a nice rumble to it.

I i took a pic of the tips just thought i would post it up.

straight pipe the cats and get some classic chambered exhaust, that was so loud on my truck it was like a straight dragster, I had to remove it. my flowmaster 40 was 10x quieter lol. my borla is quieter and more controlled than the flowmaster. I run long tube headers into straight pipes (no cats, then a single 2 into 1 borla muffler dumped before the axle)

it's still loud, don't get me wrong, but the classic chambered muffler powerstick was retarded. obnoxious just doesn't describe how loud it was. I was affraid to start it up in the middle of the day on weekends. I couldn't even sack up to drive it really anywhere. I removed it as quickly as I could (had my buddy weld it onto my pipes so had to get him a few days later to weld my flowmaster back on)

louder than dynomaxx bullets, louder than spintech, louder than flowmaster, you can't even compare it to a glasspack as I had a cherry bomb glasspack before and this is worse... controlled sound can be had by selecting proper diameter but the bigger you go, the louder it gets lol. I had a 2.5" or 3" forget...

Glasspacks are just a tube with meshin t he outside of the pipe with fiberglass packing that's why they get louder with age, the packing burns out. I know how loud they are I have rode in a few trucks with them, also open headers etc...

I think I'll get the bullets, after I can figure out the miss

DYNOMAX RACE BULLETS!!!!!!

Scrap those cats and gut them there recylceable and they pay hefty for that material and get a set of race bullets and ear plugs because theyre loud!!!

Another bad ass muffler is SPINTECH pricey but a bad ass sound muff.

I can't afford o2 deletes so I will be running catilitic converters and the cats will help tone it down. Bit

If your GM is anything like the blue oval all you need is MIL eliminators i bought mine for 60 new but ive seen write up on how to build them for a couple bucks at radioshack they dont consist of jack sh*t.

Truth is youre never going to appreciate any muff you get with those corks in the system.

those 3 in tips? get 4 inchers, run 45s and put tubing in place of your muffler, sounds great, but if you got the extra cash, run 3 inch tubing from the cats or headers, your choice, with the tips, you wont regret it... heres a sample.

this guys runnin 3 in tubing with 5 in diesel tips, id go with 4s but your choice

To me, that sounds like crap. I go for the tone of the exhaust.not for how loud it is. I've seen many people take there muffler off and think there ride sounds cool because it's louder. It just sounds like a POS with no muffler to me.
