Transmission help

I opened up the transmission case, popped off the kickstart and when i pulled the side the spring in there popped out and i cant figure out how the piece that holds the kick starter into place slots in, if anybody can maybe give me a guide if i need to ill snap a picture

First off, lets get something straight. You did not open up the transmission case. You only took of the clutch cover, opening the tranny case would have gotten you further into the motor. Consisting of splitting the case with a special tool.

Now, if you look there is a slot/ behind where the kick starter gear goes. Actually 2. one of them is at about 4 oclock and is squared off. the other is a hole and is at about 7 oclock in the case behind where the gear almost covers it up.

alright so I didnt open up the transmission thank you, and thanks alot for the help im gonna go out there in a few and take a looksie i just couldnt figure out where the hell the spring went

took 2 pictures to show you i got it in but i cannot for the freaking life of me figure out where the spring goes, the spring is rubbing on the back gear now

i have no clue where this spring goes? anybody im gonna work on it today
