transmission fluid/oil

you can use 10w30 without friction modifiers in it
you can use atf type f (cheap and works great)
you can use belray gear saver (work great but cost more)

I just use Yamalube 4 for the trans and alot of other people on here stick with that as well there have been discussions about it I have read when I was wondering the same thing

lol atf will last a long type. i mean, it is made to go 20K in a car's tranny. i changed it the fluid like 2-3 times a year.

you should still check it every ride to make sure it isn't low and that it is still the correct color.
"Next, check for fluid oxidation. The sniff test is a good one, but a "blotter test' is even better. Put a few drops of ATF on a clean paper towel. Wait 30 seconds, then examine the spot. If the fluid has spread out and is pink, red or even light brown in color, the fluid is in satisfactory condition. But if the spot hasn't spread out and is dark brown in color, the ATF is oxidized and should be changed."

it is cheap and easy to check when going bad.
only reason i have belray in my banshee is because i got 2 quarts for free lol.

ya, i wont recommend something that will cause problems. but like i said, check it before every ride. make sure it isn't low, make sure it is doesn't smell burnt and it isn't brownish.
