So I finally decided to buy a honda trx 250r and race it and make my blaster trail ready so what are some mods that would give me good low to mid range power?

get a Paul Turner Fat Boy Silencer. My friends' TRX 250r has one, increased low end power and awesome sound.
oh cool and another question would I need low end or high end power for racing? This is the first time i have ever raced a four wheeler. Its also my first time racing.
Usually for racing you want more low end power which is why a lot of people went to 4 strokes, but as 2good4u said it depends on the racing
a vettos 240 big bore kit a vettos piston so that way you have a fresh top end and they really run with it
to make the blaster trail ready
get a low to mid pipe
trail port
taller rear tires
to make the 250r race ready:
you will want a mid to high range pipe.
get an MX port
upgrade the suspension
you dont want a low end power band, not good for anything but tight trails
also it is VITOS, not vettos

I heard flotek did a good job and I guess I would get a trail port for the blaster and a mx port for the 250r.
if our gana go ported 240 id get a ct sonic instead of vitos not realy that much more for a way better cylinder
First off a vitos 240 cylinder runs ya about $500.
A CT sonic 240 kits runs you about $1195.00. Thats a HUGE difference. Vitos 240 kits are good for the price, but you better not put that on without getting it ported. They're are flaws from when they cast them. Dont waste your time with porters, go straight to flotek and get it done right the first time. If your making the blaster trail ready, get some good tires, shocks, and change your gearing up for starters. You better have some good money ready to dump to make the 250r "race ready"
You need to get good tires, and not just one set. Your going to need a good suspension unless you wanna get thrown off your quad, and your going to widen it.
On my 660, I spent $1000 just on a-arms and an axle.
Now that you have handling, your going to need power.

there was a couple threads on this already la sleeve sells it for about half the price of ct racing an a vitos is more than 500 i remeber when i first got my blaster acouple years ago they were about that and with all that power ur gana need some good shocks to but heres a link to the ct L.A.SLEEVE Store
