Ok so as everyone know that the blasters top speed isnt much. Ive noticed that somebody is running a 35 rear sprocket. Does any one happen to know where i could find a setup or a sprocket that will work on the blaster. Im assuming that there is some modificatons needed to the sprocket hub itself to accomodate the small sprocket. I would like to know what i need and how its done. And also what would my top speed be with a 35 rear and a 13 or 14 front. Im running 18 rear tires also. Thanks alot in advance

good question for some reason right now im running a 15/40 and i was beating most of the blasters out here bye atleast 10 bike lengths....im switching to a 38 rear now im just putting my motor together tonight..for some reason when i put the right and left case together the balance shaft wasnt doing a full 360 turn at one point it gets stcuk and you have to force it to turn...im getting off topic sorry......

couple more options to consider, IF you can get ahold of a DT 200 clutch basket and the primary gear it will increase the primary ratio, you could also swap a dt 200 tranny..good luck finding the parts though. next option, The 92 WR 200 clutch basket and primary gear may swap out but you will have to compare the parts, as I am only about 90% sure

plan on spending at least 200 on a custom sprocket carrier, dont know with 18"s but with 22's you better have one hell of a motor.
Can you still use a blaster sprocket hub and just mod. it, or do you have to have something made to accomodate the samll ass sprocket? Also what do you get the sprocket from?

Also Im doin some searching to find a diff. quad that runs a 35 rear sprocket to see if maybe the sprocket hub will slide right on my banshee axle

a honda 450r, 250r, 400ex, etc. all run or can run a 35-34-33 rear sprocket. Does ne know if a sprocket hub from the listed fit a blaster?

enter 8000 for the rpm. you need to get a custom sprocket hub. LSR used to sell one for banshees that took 250r srpockets, but then you still have to do some machining to it. So start with $165 for the LSR part, add an hour of machine shop time and then the price the 250r sprocket.

dude u better get new bearings that tore apart my whole bottom end

i think a 14 front sprocket and a 38 rear would be more thasn enough i am running 18 inch tires and i swapped my front 13 to 14 only and noticed a hella difference. i couldnt imagine having a 38 rear on it. seems like ur thinking way to much to loose a couple teeth on ur sprocket. ur motor will have way less acceleration with a to small rear sprocket.

blaster99's right. bad balancer bearings will f*ck up a bottom end. i bought a bottom end off a dude who sold it to me cuz that same thing happened and when i popped it open there were aluminum shavings EVERYWHERE in there! all over the place!
