I just had my top end bored .002 and got a new piston and rings for the bigger size. I put everything back together and pushed the kick start with my hand as the manual says to do. It seems to be pretty tight but I could tell that the piston travelled up and down a few times. Is is normal for it to be difficult to push with your hand? Also, I got a bigger carb because I could not fix my old one. The new one doesn't seem to fit on the end that comes from the air box. Is there an adapter that I need or something else to make it work?

yea thats normal. It should be pretty hard to push. Its all new and you are used to it being easy like it was when it was starting to weir out. it will get easier over time

Yup, the top end will be a bit stiff until the engine is run for a bit. I'd get a pod air filter directly from K&N. You can get on their website, and look up the filter you want by dimension and part number. Measure the OD of the air filter mounting flange on the carburetor. Then, simply find the K&N filter that has the corresponding size opening in it. I would not get a pod filter that is more than 4" long, though, as it may not clear the frame when installed. I have a 3.5" long K&N pod on my Blaster, with a 10 degree bend in the neck, and it just barely squeezes in.
