Bought the kit a few days ago and just got it finished up yesterday. Here are some pics...

I upgraded the main jet the kit supplied, set the needle at the 3rd position for the c-clip, and added the air box vents. I adjusted the pilot air screw all the way in and backed it out 3/4 turn just as the directions specified, but I have alot of stutter on low end power? I gave it ample time to warm up and it had way more power from 3rd gear on up.

Would anyone else have any recommendations as to fix the low end bog? I set the idle up a little as well but nothing that is overkill. I run 93 octane with some 104 octane booster. Amsoil 2 stroke oil. NGK plug gapped at .031. Is there something I am missing here? It starts to pull the front wheels up in first and second and then stutters out til I hit 3rd.

What do you guys think could be the problem? Too much octane maybe?

wat does it sound like a deep bog or a more of a bubbling? cuz when i took my airbox lid off and it wasnt jetted properly it made a deep bog and when i was running a airbox lid and lrd pipe and 300main it made a bubbling sorta sound in 3rd-4th and once it got past that it was MOVING.

Really neither of those sounds....just seems like something is getting limited....like spark or air or fuel....something. When I initially give it throttle, the front wheels jump up, then if i give it more gas to go farther up in a wheelie it just studders and like hits a wall as far as power goes. Now i can hit 3rd and give it full throttle and it just takes off quick and stays that way. It's just the low end power that it lacks.

On a side note, i am ordering a reed spacer, but am undecided on which size to get. The 1/2" or 3/4". I know they help on low end power, but which one would benefit more with a stock motor?

LOL....before I just came in and read this I took the lid off and said wtf....might as well try that. WOW. Now it has snapped to life! I regapped the plug to .032 and tested it again and even better.....the Toomey kit really has popped this thing to life!

Thanks guys for the input.....you were DEAD on

I'm uploading a vid as we speak but it's taking forever to upload...just keep an eye out because you will get to hear and decide if you would like this setup

Mine was the same way for some reason. I put like 8 0r 9 of the vents in the airbox lid and tried running it, and it made no power at all. Then I took the lid off completely and it was a whole different story. I was surprised the airbox was restricting that much flow, even with the vents in it. Glad you like the exhaust though. It won't be long before you get used to the new power and want to add more! lol

Yeh this is true.....my ultimate goal is a Shee but I'll build the blaster up and get some fun out of it and give it to the kids when they get big enough to ride
