ok i know that the smaller the rear sprocket the more top end you will have while sacrificing bottom end. now with tires how is it, i thought it was smaller rear tire more acceleration but im not sure on this.

my dad was sayin the total opposite and i just wanted to prove him wrong so guys i need some more info on this just to make sure

A smaller tire will increase acceleration but decrease top end. Thats why i hate 18 inch tires cause they slow you down so much. I switch from 18's to 22 inch banshee tires and it made a huge difference in top speed.

yea but i have 22'' holeshots and they are so heavy, i wana get some 20'' tires

20's are the perfect size 18's slow you down way to much an 22's take so much to pull because of the extra weight.

larger front sprocket = more topend

smaller front sprocket = more bottom end

larger rear sprocket = more bottom end

smaller rear sprocket = more topend

yea i hav 18s and i got it in 6th gear today and it felt so slow compared to the 22s i used to hav, i think i might sell my blaster. for somthing bigger

don't sell your blaster... thats always something people regret...
you won't feel the thrill when you switch to a diff. bike... blasters give good thrill rides if you get moving fast...

go 21 or 20 inch rear tires with 14/39 gearing, you'll get some nice gains out of that... i use 20" rears

Well unless you drag race taking off isn't always the most important thing. They make first gear actaully usable once and a while. I run top speed a lot, so 22s work for me.

well... yeah.. i guess it depends what kind of riding you're doing... but where blaster82 lives, unless he's at a track or strip, there isn't A LOT of open open places to hit top speed A lot in a straight line probably..

Yeah i know, i didn't tell him to use them. Just that they made me go faster. I ride on the roads a lot, and keeping up with all the other people on their modded yfz's, banshees and raptors is kinda tough on the roads.

Tires

I put 18s on mined, i noticed bit more take off, but i lost 8 kmh on top end though i had dirt devils on before and they werent as bad as i expected and i gained 10 kmh but dont think it was good for the clutch

ive got 20x11-8 holeshots, and i am very happy with those and 14/40 gears

thats what im thinking of doing with mine exept with razrs, and i plan on getting those camo tires from ebay that, i forget who, posted about

i put 18" kings tire slashers and geared to 15 in the front. so it feels like the same as a stock blaster. but i like bigger tires, because it gives more ground clearance for trail riding or mud boggin and you can always gear it down it their too heavy. i wish you could change the gears on a jeep, when i put 37's on it, the speedometer isnt right, 45 reads like 30
