??

man i hope someone has an answer for you, i posted a thred exactly like this one called "runaway throttle", everyone said either tors or air leak, my tors is completely disable, i also even bought a new tors brain and hooked it all back up, still same problem, and no air leaks anywhere, mine still revs up high on me, i can't figure it out for sh*t, someone please help us both!:(

how does your throttle cable looking?. did you try pulling the carb and makeing sure the cable is smooth if not then maybe try a new 1 and if it does work fine when then quad isnt running maybe you have a airleak of your pilot jet is a tad lean..

also, lube the cable up, if its old it could be starting to rust up inside and the rust preventing it from going back all the way, also if you havent yet, clean your carb, make your your jets are clean and clear

The same happended to me, came to see it was the ruber seal around the carb cover, so you must probably have an air leak... double check youre conections between the carb and the engine.

air leak !...%100 doesnt sound like a cable problem..cables stick when bad..that doesnt sound like what your bike is doing...
i know this is a back yard trick but take a can of starter fluid, when the bike is running spray just a little bit around your instake boot and carb and reed cage...just a little bit, dont wanna start a fire....if the bike starts to idle irraticly and act all funny then you have an air leak...its a trick that works great...helps to find cracks in cases as well...it will show you where your leak is real fast..
good luck bro

I would think it more of an air leak issue also...How have you ruled out that its not an air leak? Gotta do a leak down test to find that out.

thanks

thanks guys i will try everything this weekend nobody thinks its a reed problem. also what could make it hard to start cold?

Spark plug issues, check youre plug or simply replace it, check the plug gap it should be around 0.7 / 0.8 ...

Hard to start cold... problems with trothlle, hummm mayby you should recheck youre jettings.

Hope you get it runing soon.
