throttle cable question

alrite ill shorten this up i have a 98 blaster it has a kiehine carb on it and the previous owner put a twist throttle on it i dont want the twist throttle i want to stock thumb throttle i got one from a friend but i cannot use the throttle cable that is on the bike for the twist throttle it will not work does anyone know of were i can get the rite cable for my blaster i went to 2 shops and the one shop they were no help the other one told me i cannot use this carb with a thumb throttle which doesnt make sensce to me and help on were i can get the rite cable would be great thanks guys

You can get a cable for it don't listen to those guys.. I got mine from vitos but I'm sure if you read the description on the ones you find on ebay they will work fine.

and they were saying like with a thumb throttle it will never be wide open throttle which makes no sence to me y a twist throttle would change that

i have a kiehine carb im not sure of the size though i think its 38mm
