All home electric ovens run on 220v.
IDK how your garage is set up but if it has a panel box in it then your can put a 220v plug in for just the cost of the wire, breaker, and plug -it's very easy.
Alternately an electrician can install one for you for about a 1 hour charge + hardware.
A 220v hook up in your garage will pay dividends down the road too when you buy a good welder or air compressor.

Paulie B, do you know if it's possible to run two 220v out of a breaker box? I've had an eastwood pc setup for years now that I never used due to a lack of oven. I'm looking fo an electric home oven for the garage, but I already have an IR compressor running on 220 out of the breaker box. I know that the house isn't setup for 220, so I'm not sure if I can run 2 220's in the garage?

i belive you can as long as your box can accomodate it and you dont go ever your total amp rating.

Ok, how would I know what my total amp rating would be? Do I need to know what the amp rating is at the main box in the house, or just in the garage? Electricity confuses the crap outta me.

Your boxes total amp rating is the written on the 'main' (the big one)breaker at the top of the box.
Normaly they are from 200 to 300amps.
You are good to put in a new 220v circuit- they are only 30 to 50amps.
I'm guessing you run your inside oven and dryer off gas?

Just the garage is cool.
Don't exceed the main breakers rating in your garage.

Ok, cool. Yeah, my oven and dryer are gas. I was just worried that it would be drawing too much power from the house, as it's old and the wiring is quite old too. Then again, I know virtually nothing of electricity.
