there a way to quite my FMF?

yea i figured the pack thing. but its riveted in, do i drill it out, slide out the can and basically buy packs and refill it then re rivet it? what would i type in the search bar in ebay for the pack? or what kind? also how much packing should i put? the whole content? would it effect performance? its like.. vreeenGGG vreeeeengGGG!! ting ting tiiinGGGGggg!! (i love it)
and yea i am moving soon too but either im still FKD living in a city and all!

ya drill out the rivets. just search muffler/silencer packing. use the complete bag of it.
then you can either rivet it back in or try to use screws or bolts and nuts.

so the only way is replacing the packing. PERIOD? so be it! more and more $ on a quad i can barely even drive! this is like a hobby and a tease to me when i look at it! cant even drive it without the fear of cops taking my quad! :'(

BUY A DB SNORKLE

when guys bring 2 stroke and 4 stroke KTM's and Yamaha's converted for the street and need it safety inspected... I cant with a stock or aftermarket exhaust... most are just too loud.
the solution is to install a DB snorkle.
much friendlier for the streets and trails.

all glass packed exhausts have to be repacked every 6 months or at least once a year for sound and performance. Do this, get a snorkle or even go back to the OE silencer. you might lose a hp or two but at least it will be quiet

steel wool around the core then wraped with glass tightly is normal...
if its just steel wool thats not good.
Proper packing keeps the heat in the pipe and increase air flow for better performance
