and my brothers blaster

well today i tore most of this beast apart, just have the swing-arm motor, and steering system taken out,

plan to have this frame sandblasted, i'll prime it and then paint with the orange you have seen on the parts above

so pictures tomorrow and alittle surprise with what my brothers blaster looks like now

does anyone have a right-bend pipe they would like to sell?

i have it completely taken apart and i couldnt get the sprocket/holder for it off the axle, so i took it to my local powersports dealer to see if they could, which they got it off after an hour of heating it up and pounding on it, which was good but after i was looking at the parts when he was done, he bent the sprocket holder, so i need to get a new one, plus sprocket, and then when he was getting it off he put the piece on the end of the axle on backward so he wasnt hitting the bolts and got that stuck on, when we got that off they had destroyed the grooves that keep it from slipping

so im glad they got it off but alittle mad that parts got wrecked, and then i had to pay $20 for their time

the one kid who works their was nice enough to offer to give me his old sprocket which came off his banshee, but it was more worn out then mine

I have some sad news for you.

You should never mix old sprockets and chains with new or second hand ones.

They marry for life, and do not take kindly to another partnership.

A new sprocket will quickly wear/stretch or break an old chain.

A new chain on an old sprocket can be completly stuffed in a few miles.

Rule of thumb, always replace the whole set, chain, front and back sprockets.

tank you for the tip blaaster but i knew that already, thats half the reason im really mad at them

so the bad news continues i reassembled my rear axle after cleaning up the corrosion with a grinder+wire brush, and i found out in the process that one of my rear hubs is ruined wont go back on even with a hammer, and also they crushed the threads on each end of the axle will pounding on it

well dropped my frame off to be sand blasted today, and i also got everything fixed from my problems from getting the gear off the only thing is i didnt get my money back, and i still have to get a sprocket, im picking up the sprocket spider tomorrow from a guy

no im not useing that sprocket i didnt even bring it home, he just offered it to me

hmmm very wierd choice on color but it looks like a watermellon lol

lol right so im assuming your brother is mad that your completely redoing yours so he decided to go red and green...then he took his anger out on the blasty after he didnt like the colors causing his self a hole in the case lol jk good work to both of you i had the same red/black plastics but painted my hood black also looks 1000 times better then the red and black

id get the tors eliminator kit since your motor is off it will be a breeze to change it now

no he started his plastics right when i decided id do orange, and his chain snapped putting a small hole in it, he now has new chain and new sprockets on it and update on mine tomorrow, or when my bearings get here should be friday

so question we took my brothers clutch out finally, cause it finally quit working

so wht is/was this, i found it in the center hole of the clutch

and if its broken anyone know what its called to get a new one

is it supposed to be two rods with a bearing ball between them?
just taking a guess there

well since im waiting for bearings to get, thought id update u on where it sits right now

sitting on it will its running just isnt the same as riding it for some reason :p

Looking Good , Whats the plans with plastics , what color are you wanting to go with ?

no im not going to paint the plastics sorry they are brand new, i got a blaster all taken apart with the plastics in the bag and stickers not installed

and i have the plastics that came off it when i bought this one
