Hello all, I have a 2002 blaster that has an ignition problem. I have a weak spark and am trying to take apart the generator to get to the charge coil. There are several Phillips head screws on the outside of the cover that I am having a hard time getting to. Is there a trick or speacial tool I can use to take the screws out without stripping the heads? Any help would be great. Thnks:-/

i think u mean the stator cover bro, try tapping the end of the screwdriver with a hammer while its in the head....seems to always help break things loose

Make sure you use the correct size tip (PH3). I use a quarter inch drive ratchet, short extension w/ a quarter inch socket w/ the tip. Worked great the first time. I changed all phillips on mine to flange bolts.
