i have a 1997 yamaha blaster and the throttle and carb switch have been removed and i have bought a new wiring loom for it and ive been told to splice the wires but i dont exactly know what it means can anybody help ill be much appreciated.

no splicing if you're using the pre 03 tors brain
just remove everything including the tors black box under the hood
if the new wiring harness is 03+, the tors is part of the cdi, and both sets of wires coming out to the throttle and carb must be spliced, you'll also need the 03+ stator for that wiring harnes < i think

if its an 03 + cut the wires on the ecu side and the and splice them (twist them together) and cap them
