Hey everyone i just bought a rebuild kit for my swinger. i got as far as getting the pivot bolt nut off. for some odd reason i cant get the pivot free seems to be frozen. any ideas on getting this free so i can move on to rebuilding it? thanks

you failed maintanence 101, proper service and lubrication..it would not be frozen. spray the hell out of it with pb blaster a couple times thought the aftrnoon/evening and again in the morning before you take off for school. the after it has had 24 hors or so, loosen the nut so that its face is flush with the end of the pivot bolt. grab a BFE and get busy. there really is no practicle way of getting a hot wrench in there so you have no choice but to resort to inertial amplification.

I wouldn't put the nut back on there....I did that recently and it destroyed the threads. The way the bolt is made, you can take that nut off and hammer on it with a hammer and it won't destroy the threads. But yeah, big hammer, go to town!

easy bro! mabe he got the blasty a month or so ago, unless he is the original owner, then its shame on him for no maintenence, but chances r he is not the original owner, sorry man but its tough to blame 1 person when these bikes change hands so many times, but anyway like u said spray the hell outta it and try it the next day
