Suspension/Widening for a lady rider

So my girlfriend has a Blaster and she wants it wider. Ive been reading on here and I see the Diamond J kit is popular, she just rides trails, no monster jumps or anything like that.

Looking on ebay at the DJ kits they have the standard and the one for the YFZ shocks. My question is, can I get the YFS kit and run the stock Blaster shocks on it until/if she decides she wants to upgrade shocks?

Also, on the trail machine, how much of a difference will she notice by upgrading the shocks to one of the popular swap setups? Thanks-Dan

holy sh*t dan!! didnt know your were hiding on here!!! hahaha now were at 3 WSD members on the blaster forum.. must85 is on here also

for lowering check out the crj kits on ebay for $130.. thats the kit im lookin at for mine

my bad.. as far as widening, a few ways you can go about it.. spacers all around if she is not jumping or just small stuff, also for rear a banshee axle fits and is 3 1/4 wider than the stock axle, spacers or banshee are the cheapest options, axle just keep a eye out on craigslist for ppl selling modded banshee's and hit them up for the stock axle

me personally im gonna do spacers and run the crj kit since i spend more time sideways around corners than in the air, and the crj is adjustable.... just something for you to look into since lower will be more stable also

and extended swing arm will help to.. i know your capable of extending the stock one.. i know your mustang and know what you can do, im going +4 swinger on mine.. will help with the short wheel base feeling

on your shock question.

I recently put some banshee front shocks on my blaster and a 400ex rear shock. I got them shipped to my door on ebay for a little under a hundred dollars. It took the jitteryness/shakiness out of the quad when going over small bumps and stuff. It rides alot smoother on trails and I am happy with the upgrade.

dont put spacers on the front at all. it put alot of pressure on the ball joints. just get the diamond j kit up front, and spacers in the rear. the type is up to you. i have the stud type, and have yet to have a problem. some people will say dont run any spacers. they will also say dont run the wideing kits too. do what you want, and what you can afford.

change to an offset rear rim with a flat tire on rear and if you have an o3 or older flip front tires youll gain at least 3 inces and the diffrence is awsome and cheaper and an easy fix
