Stupid People......

no..... i mean just the fact of getting the idea "hey man! i wonder if i can start my quad backwards!!!!!" like wtf lol

there's another video somewhere that someone kicked it, went to take off forward and it goes flying backwards, the greatness of the fact that 2 strokes can run either direction!!!

Had my Elsinore start backwards once. Impossible to ride a motorcycle backwards :o. I would think it would be hard on the piston as the thrust would be on the intake side.

It will start in reverse even if you have an intact flywheel key.

A 2 stroke will run backwards , but not very well.

Some times if you miss the kick, and the motor does not go over TDC, the spark will fire, ignite the fuel/air charge forcing the piston the wrong way..

For those thrill seekers who think it may be "Kool" to ride the bike backwards, don't try it, it does the motor no good.

Retarded timing raises the exhaust gas temperature considerably. This raises the thermal stress on the pistons, spark plugs, and exhaust system. In severe cases of retarded timing, the mixture is still burning when the exhaust port opens, which can wreak havoc to the piston crown on the exhaust side..

The motor will wear more due to not warming up correctly, it can cause deposits on the piston and cylinder head due to improper burn and can foul plugs.
