stripped cylinder bolt

How should i get a stripped bolt off my cylinder.

i assume you are talking about a stud. is it one that holds the jug down or the head, they just unscrew unless the thread is screwed inside the jug, then you got work

no the nut that screws into the stud holding the jug on

try putting another bolt on top and tighten them together and see if u can pull the whole stud out, long shot, but it might be enough to turn the stud

so if i put another nut on top of the one stripped and tightin them really tight and then keep tightening till the stud comes out and BTW it would be the the stud that screws into the bottom end that the jug slides onto.

no, you would try and loosen it, and it should pull the stud out if it isnt too tight, worth a try, but you will need to get new studs, never replace only one

what he means is to take one of the good nuts and tighten it down against the stripped one then put your wrench on the good one and loosen and see if you can take the stud out with the stripped nut on it

no, it should bring the whole stud out, that bolt will likely not move, just spin in place

yea thts what i said. take the stud out with the stripped nut on it

hold the broken bolt with a wrench, then with another, tighten the good bolt down onto the strpped on really tight, then try and loosen it and see what happens

can you get vice grips on it? at this point you are just trying to get it off. as long as you don't hurt the cylinder ur good

You can always weld the stripped nut to the stud and try it that way, risky though

Kk let's get this straight here, are the threads stripped, or the edges on the bolt are worn down

its completly round exempt for a big cut where my dremal tryd to get it of but failed

get a smaller wrench and see if you can pound it on, a ratched would be better of it fits, not able to look at min and see
