Why do i have like a chunky grease on my oil pump cover? it's just in that area near the front of the pump?? It kinda looks like it coming from in between the topend and bottom end?
And while im at it, why does my quad over rev after i been riding it for awhile? like when i pull the clutch in and let it idle for a second it revs high? yes i have the idle screw turnt down.

well..... you have an air leak. what kind of gasket did you use for your head/base when you redid your top end? if you used a paper one you blew it out and thats whats causing your air leak. your blaster probably doesnt rev when it first starts cause its cold and the metal hasnt expanded yet. when it warms up, it revs cause its sucking too much air.

long story short......... ting ting ting b a n g . there goes your top end. you need to do a leakdown test to be sure. but it sounds like you have an air leak. dont ride it until you do a leakdown test man. unless you like throwing money around. post a pic, but whoever did the top end probably used a paper type head/base gasket and it blew out. or they didnt tighten the bolts all the way. check the head base bolts. make sure they are tight.

Like yo, um i been riding this thing for like a few months like that? thats why im kinda leaning away from it being a blown head gasket. Like could a slight tear in the intake boot from the carb to the airbox be the problem?

yes but that is an airleak. dont ride it like this it is creating a lean condition and it will blow up

any kinda hole that could be geting more air to the motor is an air leak,
and all they do is cause problems so dont ride it until you do a leak down test.
find the leaks and fix it if its reving like that its deffantly an air leak.
you have been around for awhile i would think you should have known what kind of problems it can cause.
now if you dont want to take the advice to not run it and fix the problem.
then il be happy to help you and explain how to rebuild the top end now
