umm compress the springs the the bottom adjuster comes off...i think....i would have to look at em to be positive

Both front and back come off when you compress them. The washer part on top has a slot it goes through when compressed. Its def easier than car struts on the stock shocks anyway.

look at the end with the spring, see the slot on the retaining ring?? pry the spring down there. then with another screwdriver pop the retaining ring off

once you have the spring off, please putthe shock back on the bike. with the bike on a stand, measure from the ground to the spindle, then pull up the a=arm up intill the shock is fully squished and measure again, subtract the smaller number from the bigger number and please pm me with it. thanks!! (this tells you how much wheel travel you have..I bet it's no were near the 7" yamaha claims.

lol sometimes it seems like about 2" of wheel travel

The shock itself in fronts only have 3". now when you measure from the spindle it will be more, but extra 4" im not so sure.
