Stock Shock adjustment

Since I don't have the money to get better shocks do any of you guys know how to adjust the socks and which way softens and which way make the shocks harder.

i wanted to know too but, i think the lower the notch, the softer. not sure though.

the lower the softer. so if u wanna tighten them up go to the top notch on the adjustment.

Use a spring compressor and compress the spring but not the shock, and they should twist easily.

put a pair of channel locks on the bottom where the spring hits the stop and itll turn with ease, u can almost turn them by hand

no, u can turn them while they are on the bike

does the rear have adjustment?

Yes. You jus take aome channel locks and u can turn the nuts on the bottom. Counter clockwise is harder and clockwise is softer

I think you have it backwards take the nuts all the way to the bottom and turn the spring by hand that is softer and the other way is harder

haha thats true, i just grabbed a wrench and put some turns on it. it wasnt hard to turn them but that would be easier

No need to take the shocks off, just use a extensible wrench, no need for speacial tools. About the softer or harder, theres usually 2 letters in there... S .... H.... guess wich one
In the rear you only need to losen up the "guard" bolt and compresse the spring with the other bolt, dont forget to tighten up the "guard" bolt after.
