So while putting on my new moose carb cap kit (which went very well and i am very happy with this kit!) when ever i nudged or moved the quad around i heard a raddle, as if i dropped a nut or bolt in a pan..

Its the damn pipe! theres something raddleing inside my stock pipe. I took it off and it is either an odd shape or to big to come out of each end (like a giant poop! :D) it literally sounds like your shaking a spray paint can.

Before i started and finished the cap install the blasty ran perfect (really just installed this cap kit because from what i heard that tors is a time bomb). Now down the line i plan on getting a new pipe and silencer, so i figured what the hell and started it up - still runs fine and i guess the pressure in the pipe pushed w/e is in there against something because it no longer rattles... set the idle and everything with the new kit so i don't have to latter

now the pipe is off and im baffle to what it is or how i can get it out.. any ideas?

there's a cast iron baffle in there, and also completely lined with silencer packing, held to the inner walls with mesh screen
if the rattle sounds small and tingy, i'd say some screen rotted and broke loose,
if it's a loud clunking, prolly the cast iron baffle came loose, i had one do that, and you're correct, the pressure will push it back till it jambs
the cast iron thingy caused me major jetting/bogging issues

time for a new one

...also didn't someone on here open one of the stock pipes and clean it up, and re-weld it? kind of curious what the inside of this hunk of metal looks like.
