what is the blasters stock hp?? and with the mods i have... what would mine be at?

ouch. i coulda sworn it was higher. now i feel like someone chopped my dick in half lol. how much would a 240 bore kit put it up? is it worth it? i may consider it, although my 89 blaster is geting old, it may not be worth the money cuz of its age.

thats a good worked motor man, so i doubt the vitos 240 kit gives u (they claim) 32 hp out of the box! is it really worth it?

I wouldnt know, b/c Ive never ran against one nor used one. Id like to though just for comparison reasons.

IMO 32 out of the box is probablly a bit inflated. THat might be a crank hp instead of rear wheel hp.

direct quote from vitos page.

"VITO DESIGNED THIS CYLINDER FOR THE BOLT ON DO IT YOURSELF ENGINE BUILDER. IT IS SET UP TO RUN PUMP FUEL FOR GENERAL USE. THIS CYLINDER IS NOT HAND PORTED FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO NEED MORE POWER -TRIPLE EXHAUST-FOUR INTAKE PORTS MAKES 32 HP PLUS--CAN BE USED OUR 3MM STROKER CRANK PC2003 "

It says its not hand ported, humm I dont know how to interpret this. either it means

1. its not ported and you need to pay for the triple exhaust and four intake porting that would then make it put out 32 hp

or
2. Its not "hand ported" but ported on a machine??

HUMMM> it would be interesting to find out what this means and if they have a dyno chart to back up their 32 hp claim.

milled .10 and the stroker is from vito's

i just got my quad dynoed and im sitting at 31.4 hp at the wheels

whats a good 240 kit thats not to expensive but gives a good amount of power? and i know nothing about the 240 kits, are they pretty much "bolt in" or is there other stuff required? id like a little bit more power out of my blaster.

your going to spend some cash when your talking about a 240 and not just for the kit. To get the potential out of your 240 your need to do intake, exhost, carb. port and polish ect.

that being said. CT240 sonic kit is the best on the market and IM not just being biast b/c I own one. for under $1000 you get a new casted Jug and head, port and polishing, intake and reeds.

my stepdad took it to somewhere in kansas city to get it dynoed so i would know what class to run in at my local drag strip

not sure what the name of the shop was though

thats pretty high. i was thinking just a 240 kit. i already have a gold series fatty, power core2, vforce3 reeds and a k&n air filter.( currently have a wiseco piston&kit but that would be replaced so its irrelivent)

every thing u can do for a blaster u can do for a banshee so its hard 2 compare the 2. i like the blaster because it's light weight short and u can throw it around good. great for trails. banshee is just all out fast.
