Hey guys last week I send my Stock A arms to get powdercoated and got a call this week from the guy saying that one of the ball joints on one of the arms fell out. 3 stayed in though is what I dont get. I got ahold of a friend and he said that theres a teflon bushing that holds them in and when heated up the bushing will melt away and the ball joint will fall out.

I was wondering if any of u guys have had this issue. What can be done to fix it? Thanks for all ur info im stuck on if I should buy new ones or not. Thanks.

Well all i can say is your screwed. Those ovens are baking metal at 400* for twenty minutes. They only things that wont melt are metal, aluminum and silicone. If you were to bolt those a-arms up, your literally creating a death trap for yourself and its only a matter of minutes of riding time before those ball joints slip right out. In other words, there is no way of fixing and them. Both the upper and lower a-arm ball joints are pressed in and there is no replacement ones. Sorry to say, but you need to buy a new set of a-arms and not get those powdercoated.

Been there done that...... Buy a new set is all I can say... I have had success with powdercoating them, but its a delicate situation, and I will not do it for anyone but myself anymore due to the possibility of destroying them.

The stock arms are not able to be coated.

Alright thanks guys I appreciate it. Wasnt going to finish the powdercoat process on them. Was just kinda wondering a way to fix them but you guys answered both questions I guess. Seen some for cheap on ebay. Will probly go that route. Thanks again.
