Well i posted last week that i was fouling plugs and yall made some sujestions. Someone mentioned the air filter and I thought it would be that because I have not looked at it in a while. But it really wansnt that bad. I went ahead and cleaned it and reoiled it but it did not help my plug fouling prob. Someone said it could be week spark. My spark plug cap is loose on the plug, like it doesnt snap on good. Sometimes if i hit a big bump it will even come off. Do yall think that could cause the plug to foul. Should I get a new coil or can I just by a new cap and put it on my coil.
Thanks

Can the coil be checked by checking the resistance of primary and secondary windings. Does anyone know what they should be
Thanks

does your spark plug have the round piece on the end or is it the screw style? make sure it is the round piece.

Yep round thing or no round thing it doesnt snap on or fit worth a Shat. Does anyone know what the resistance of the coils should be?
Thanks

I didnt see the search feature. Cool Thanks Sheeblast
So I found this:

"Did you remove the boot to test the coil? If not should.... Test directly to the wire itself.

primary resistance should be 1.44-1.76 ohms

Secondary should be 5.28k-7.92k ohms

So yeah sounds like your coil is bad if you tested . " Timsyfz

So I will check this and also replace my spark plug cap and see were that gets me

Thanks

Cooooool I found the problem. So my plug cap had a clamp on it. So i loosened the clamp and pulled the cap off the plug wire. I guess someone had replaced it before and did a shaby job. The plug cap has like a screw in it that screws into the coil wire. Someone missed the hole. So instead of screwing into the middle of the plug wire the screw went to the side and was bearly making contact. The wire of the coil were also oxcidized green at the end. So I cut it back and put the cap back on. The coil wire was bearly long enogh. I crunk it up and I can tell a diff. I only rode it for a sec but it feels way diff. The coil resistance was within spec. I will go ahead and buy a new cap so that it will snap onto the plug. I think I will go ahead and order a manual also.

Thanks for the Help
Time to ride

I could steal the coil off my brothers blaster.:D hahahhah
Yea I think I will have to get a new coil. The plug wire is pulled tight.
But for now time to ride.

well with a short wire, it is harder to take it on and off the plug, plus it could rip from being under pressure. you want a little slack in the wire when it is on the plug.

I agree i need a new coil.

I like this forum it is more like a chat room. I have used other forums and it sucks to have to wate a week for an answer.

Thanks for the help guys

Okay i had this same problem. The plug cap i use is the screw type. It will not fit a plug with the round cap. If you look in the cap you can unscrew where the plug seats. Around that is a clip, its what holds the screw top plugs in there snug. You can bend the clip back in or if it fell out, you can rigs it with a piece of wire. IMO as someone else said buy a new cap. Im fouled mine out twice over the weekend. If you straighten it out let us know.
