The Yellow/Red wire and the White/Red wire. I have them unplugged from the CDI box because I'm trying to diagnose a possible electrical issue (see my other thread). Using a multimeter, these two wires have continuity and are touching somewhere between the stator plate and the wires themselves. The wiring diagram I'm using says they are separate wires which should never touch. Can someone take 2 seconds to confirm or deny this for me please? I've been without my Blaster for 4 weeks and cannot figure out this problem for the life of me.

Thank you very much!

Well the Y/R from stator, ties into Voltage reg, then to light switch.

the W/R from stator to CDI that's it. That's what my prints say, so they are seperate.

Yes and no. Sure they are separate wires, but ultimately those wires (plus the blk/red) start out at the stator coils and the OTHER end of the coils are connected to the ground wire (blk). So all of them are connected to each other through the ground side of the circuit, with one side of each coil at ground potential. Don't worry about it. Continuity sometimes of limited use in diagnosing problems. A DIGITAL meter is a must.

The checks to make are:
Y/R to Blk ~ .16-.24 ohm , lighting coil
W/R to Blk ~ 16-24 ohm , pickup coil
B/R to Blk ~ 192-288 ohm , source coil

Not sure what your actual problem is, but these will let you eliminate the stator as a possible source.
