Impact screwdriver got one out and gawled the chit out the one on the bottom, and ideas on how to get the bastard out? Thinkin all im left to do is get an extractor.

PS - I found a CHEAP flywheel tool, had a spare/bent rear sprocket mount(the part that slides on to the axle) and oddly enough you and pull 2 studs out and flip them around and it fits the flywheel PERFECT! had a piece of 90* angle iron and popped 2 holes for the bottom side of the sprocket arm and it fit snug under the frame, boom, flywheel is off! LMK if you want pics, its a junkyard way to use parts improperly!!

can you get on it with a pair of vise grips? careful they are fuggin cheesy material.(if you go to the hardware store to buy them they ae called cheese head screws...wonder why)

I dont thinkg so, its pretty tight in there, the stator and wheel is all rusted up, im not worried about messing them up, they are getting allen heads when it goes back together. I tried to cut a groove in the head and use a flat blade in the impact screw driver but it wouldnt budge. Its just one thing after another it seems with this damn bike, i wish people took better care of there chit, but then it wouldnt have been so cheap!

I had trouble getting mine out, my grampa happened to be over at the time and he took my impact driver and beat the living shipt out of it. I thought he was gonna break my case he was hitting it so hard, but he got them out. The thing is, the bit needs to drive into the screw head, and thats what he explained to me.

if the impact didnt work a extractor probably wont either. worst case senario grind the head off, split the case and wa-la there it is. hopefully youll get it out before then

cheese heads aaaaaaaaaaahhahahahahaaaaa

i think you'll need to drill the head off, then after you remove the stator there will be enuf showing to get the vise grips on

it was a manual impact, the ones you hit with the hammer, I DONT want to split the case.

AWK - positive there will be enough to get some grips on there if i pop the head off?

I thought about it but cant afford to split the case and she is almost ready to tune.

An easy out will get it out. Penetrating oil won't do anything as the threads are farther down in the case.

This is the same and a bit extractor right?

I feel like an idiot asking these questions but I gotta save up some cash for a new stator and wheel so i dont have much to spend on tools, thanks in advance!

Drill a small hole which will be specific for the size extractor that you are using. Tap the extractor inton the hole with a hammer and then turn it counter-clockwise with an adjustable wrench to get the bolt out. For what it is worth, I have used these before and more often then not they did not do the job for me. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for the info, i have hope, but not much!

the extracor kit i got from sears has the drill on one side and the extractor on the other of the same bit, $20 if i remember right
3 different sizes gives you 3 tries to get it

and no, i'm not sure about having enuf to grab after drilling the head off
