So I rebuilt my blaster bla bla bla and so I went to go start it and it took a few kicks but it started and I was getting ready to do a heat cycle to break it in and it just starts to big out and I can't keep the revs up and it dies on me.... 2 hours later I go out to check if the gas was on When I started it before and so It was and I said screw it I'll give it on Kick and it starts right up and then it gogs out and dies.......what!?! And before this we out a gallon if has I and half of it leaks hit the carb and ten stops for good for right now..... What's going on????
Are you trying to say that it is flooding?
You may just need to clean the needle and seat and adjust the float level.
TORS is the big block thing on top of the carby.
Float level should 20 to 21.5mm on a stock carby.
you want to turn the carb and hold it on a slight angle to measure the float height, like shown here......
it should just barely be touching the inner needle, not depressing it,
It is possible to check the fuel level by attaching a length of clear plastic tubing to the drain nipple , lifting it up the side of the carby, and cracking the drain screw.
The fuel should show in the pipe to the level of the carb body above the float bowl gasket.
here's the float height's of the most popular carbs run on our blasters.......Credit to Awk08
