starting trouble

I just got done doing a topend rebuild, now that i put it back together it wont start unless you hit it with starting fluid and once it starts the idle is crazy high sounds like its going to blow. i checked the compression and its fine. It was bored 20 over and i have Yamaha gaskets on it. the reeds look like they were fine, th eonly thing im not sure of is the carb. does anyone have any ideas. thanks

clean the carb. make sure the slide isn't stickin. turn the idle screw out.

check for air leaks around head, jug, and intake with carb cleaner or wd40, your running really lean thats why its revving up like mad...
