Well I was going to big bore and stroke my blaster when I found water in the bottom end. I am building a full drag quad and with the help of an experienced welder/fabricator it will be equipped with a trx250r engine. I know people say build the blaster and it will beat it, well I'm building it for 8th mile asphalt and I don't see 1 beating it then plus the full engine can be had for 300 bucks. I have worked on shaving useless brackets so far.

sounds like a cool build, keep this thread updated with pics as you make progress !

Thanks guys. I work 7/7 so ill pick the motor up next week. Will also be extending the swingarm 8prices inches probably with banshee axle for extra hookup. The plans with the motor are a big bore lot ported and polished with supporting extras for pump gas. Its just hard to find anything more than 93 in MS.

FYI extended axles and swingarms help stability, but sacrifice traction.

For asphalt, with a long swingarm you need to get more weight over the back end for traction.

Widening it will make it more difficult to keep straight ahead.

Thanks for the info on the axle. I managed to get a little closer this evening after work. I will be getting the frame painted just don't know if I won't a mild sleeper look or something eye catching.

Still working on a few more tabs on the frame but I have my powder coating price and color scheme. The frame is going to be flat black with the a arms and swinger a deep purple being a big Ravens fan. The plastics will also be black with the same color purple webbing. But here is as itcome sits now.

Alright guys the time has come to order the motor, my first plan was a 250r but a lot of people tell me to do yz250, there around the same price but do they offer the same amount of performance products? For straight drag racing which would be the better? Looking to order Monday.
