Wanted to know if there is any harm in bolting my new engine to the frame, with only the muffler part that bolts to the engine. And not the back part pipe. And dropping a little mixed gas in the spark plug hole, just to see if it fires up? Will this hurt anything, or should I just wait for the other parts? Like a carb...

just wait, the initial start up and heat cycles are very important to the life of your engine

Thanks, I figured that for setting the seals and rings in, but I want to start it so bad, you have no idea.

Well you're one step closer to getting it running as of today. I almost have your wiring harness fixed. It was a mess, but I just about have it ready to go back in the mail. I:I

Yeah, don't try to fire it up without a carb. If it starts off a gas bottle, the engine will run WOT and may blow. Just be patient.

Thanks bro. Told you it was fecked up hard:). The bike was no better. Only part I saved from the engine was the head, not the jug, Got the new jug from kor ported and polished and bored looks mean and cool. Best part of my engine, bought 2 new cases, trans was fine as far as i could tell, nothing looked stripped bent or broken. Next month I am buying the swingarm from kor and bolting it all up. Will still need a few things. Like brakes front and rear, I know brakes are not very important (LOL) but I will feel a bit safer with them. And all the other small stuff. Like tires and rims, .

This is the biggest NO, NO, no that one can ever do!

Pouring fuel (premixed or not) is the worst thing one can do to any motor.

It washes valuable lubrication from the cylinder walls.

Thanks blaaster Kinda figured that to, but again I want to see if it starts... But dont worry I wont do it.
