Rejetting is not difficult. Loosen the clamps on the carb, slip it out of the boot, then just flip it on it's side to access the bowl. You don't need to disconnect anything. Remove the four screws, pull the bowl off, and the main jet is right there in the middle.
Lose the lid off the airbox, and stick a 270 jet in there to start assuming all stock otherwise. Probably the easiest/cheapest way to perk it up a bit. Virtually any powersports dealer(of any brand) will have jets, and while you can get a custom jet kit, it's not that hard. There's a turorial here how to dial in jetting, but just change ONE thing in the carb, then drive it around a bit, then check the plug. Ideal is a cardboard color, a moderate shade of brown. Black is too rich, and gray to white is too lean. Change jets until you get the sweet spot, but a 270 will be a good place to start, and what worked good for me.
