anyone ever made one i knew some guys in high school that made one....they used a spark plug and propane with a valve of some kind not really sure but it would shoot spuds to the moon...lol

the place i use to work at i took a carboard tude and stuffed a golf ball in it tight and used and air gun sealed up on the other end wow that thing made a thud when she took off

I used PVC and a grill starter. its a freakin beast, I'll get you the dimension when i get off work.

same way we made 1.......i actaully seen a buddy of mine shoot and kill a rabbit with a potato gun....the chances of him hitting that tiny ass little rabbit where slim to none lol, but damn they can be nasty!!

I've seen some people use an air compressor and for compressed air into the chamber and launch potatos that way. I'm not sure how it worked tho. Mine used the grill starter and anything flammable that would go in the camber. whatever you do dont use black powder, some kids died in my area using it.

ive made a mini one with a grill starter a pill bottle and a part of a metal arrow for the barrel and epoxed it togeater thing is pretty beast and still hurts

damn black powder.......thats just asking to die, we always used ether, or hairspray......but like u said anything flammable lol

They're sweet. I've used hair spray, spray paint, lol PVC glue basically anything. PVC glue worked really well, just don't get it on the threads of your end cap. And i found out when your done playing for the day to take the cap off so the hair spray doesn't act like glue and stick the cap in.
I have an apple orchard in my back yard, so once they start falling its game. My buddies and i have also use walnuts, just imagine getting hit upside the head with one of those!

the one i made back in the day, used a 4" pvc "y", reduced to 1 1/2", with a grill starter and hairspray, i shot a stop sign once and dented it, they can be really wicked

I think those are about the same dimensions mine is

i got a pro tip from my design tech teacher, never heard of it before. hard to explain and i dont feel like drawing but you cut an angle on the end, with a curve and it makes it so it cuts the potato but then compresses it. supposebly works godly.

yeah mine had the tapered end so the potatoe got cut to size when jammed onto the end, and then use a stick to ramrod it down to the bottom of the barrel

I put a screw down the barrel so the projectile will stop before falling into the combustion chamber

ive got 2 big ones and a bunch of mini ones. my biggest shoots about 150 yards and golf balls wrapped in duct tape go 200 yards. the mini ones shoot spit balls about 10 yards.
