I am thinking about getting a new sprocket to go faster. what kind is a good brand but i don't have a lot on $$. should i get new front, rear sprockets and chain ? and also what is a good # of teeth to go faster

aluminium sprocket is my choice but steel will do the trick you can use cheap sprocket as long as you use a good chain, and by built i mean porting crank etc etc

^^ agreed with randelator 1 thing tho, if you get ur engine built up in the future, there is a company that makes "More Speed Sprockets" they have a red chain, can't miss them, they are pretty hard to break, ive tried a few times (course not on purpose) anyway... yeah, they make them in 14/40 and 14/39 14/39 gives you more topend speed 14/40 gives you more bottom - mid power (quicker off the line) but do 14/42 for now since ur not built up very much

If you just want to get the 14tooth. Then just go to your local dealer, they should have one there. And their only like 8$

OK for a chain should i use mine or bye a Yamaha 1 of would my local chain place have 1 that would work

go with the 14/40 it works for me and I really am not built up that much, it really all depends on what kind of riding your doing yhat will determine the gearing.

Primary Drive chain and sprockets are good sold by Rocky Mountain haven't gone wrong with them yet and last long.

OK i mayjust try my chain as is and hopefully this week can go to the deelership and get a 14 tooth sprocket

I have done that before just to try change front sprocket with old chain won't hurt it for a while but event will wear it out if old chain
