Right now im running 14-40 and the style of riding i mostly do never really requires me to go any higher then say 4th gear, rather i would love more acceleration rather then top speed, do to the stance of my atv i cant even wheelie it right now with this set up. I guess what im asking is how low of a sprocket should i go in the front or lower in the back? How big of a difference is it to go down 1 tooth size in the front? Should i go 2 maybe?

13 is stock on the front maybe a 12 in the front an a 41 or 42 in the back that would make some low end power that you are looking for, your wheels should be up at all times in less their is some thing wrong with your blaster.

What size rear tire are you running? It makes a major difference. I run 18" tamer with 14/40 gearing and pull 3rd gear wheelies all day. Try a set of 18" you'll love it.
BTW, I don't use first gear at all, and I mean never.

im running 20 inch ITP blackwaters in the back, i dont know if pressure has anything to do with it but the max psi for these tires is only 10psi.

If you look at this picture here you will see what i mean by "stance" the swingarm is extended +3 and shaped to make it sit lower primarily due to the fact that the gentlemen i bought it off of many years ago rode it in the dunes and wanted it to stay down i guess and was looking for more top speed.

I have since swapped the front tires for these, they are big and i dont like them (because they are ugly) but they work:

Dude that head pipe is the same as mine, its a fmf gnarly pipe right you should have all the low end you need, maybe try another pipe set up.

Get your cylinder ported. I'm running a +3 swinger and +4+1 a-arms with 14/38 gearing and I can pull the front end off the ground in 4th gear all day long

that 3+ swinger is part of your wheelie problem. i just put a 4 plus on and i can only run a wheelie if i dump the clutch in 1st gear.

How long is +4 in total? From when i measured years ago i THINK its a +3 but would love to measure again, just need a reference on your total length or the length of a stock swing arm.

I posted a thread asking this and yet to get an answer, hopefully someone will know.
