Hi guys! I am a newbie here and i just wanted to ask your advice on sprocket changing? I have a 1996 Blaster with stock gearing and i was thinking of moving up to a 14 tooth front sprocket. I see a lot of people saying you will lose a lot of bottom end :(. I am one that doesn't really care about doing wheelies or anything. I ride trails but have a lot of open areas, so looking for a lil more top end speed. My question is those with 14 tooth front sprockets is the loss of bottom end unsatisfactory or is the power still adequate? Oh yea and quad is stock now but i have a toomey b1 pipe kit coming in a few days I:I

The 14 tooth sprocket will be ok as the Toomey will make up for the loss of torque.

It is nessessary to change both sprockets and chain, as a new sprocket can chew up an old chain very quickly.

Make sure you jet for the B1 and read up and perform a plug chop.

You will be happy with the 14 tooth front. It only changes the gearing a little bit and will make first and second gear run a little longer.

Check the carb thread out for plug chopping and jetting info when installing that pipe, the 14 tooth was great in my bike
