Sprocket and chain length help

;Hey guys. I put a 12 tooth front sprocket on the other day and it gave me almost no play left on my chain. I know its about time for a new one anyway but was wondering if i put a 42t on the rear if that would balance it out or be too big. Also i was planning on going to the bigger rear when i got my new chain anyway, anyone know of a chart that shows what size chain you need for different sprocket combos?

a stock blaster is 92 links with stock sprockets. easiest way is buy the sprockets you want and buy a longer chain to make sure it's long enough and prefit the chain on then cut out the extra links. I changed my sprockets plus extended my swingarm so i had no idea what i needed. I went on ebay found the correct chain size but at 110 links and cut it down to 106 i think for what i needed. the chain was the same size but it was for a different older atv. because of that i received it for $25 with shipping to my door so shop around it's been working just fine with my 240 stroker and only had to adjust the slack once since i put it on.hope this helps and saved you some money. Make sure you don't forget to adjust your chain adjusters when you mock up, prefit your chain otherwise you won't have any chain adjustment left to take up the chain slack.
